He is one of the outstanding primitivism painters in the World. But as it usually happenes to greatests - he lived and died in poverty, never recognized by his countrymen while he was alive.

The Kartuli Ensemble is a not-for-profit organization devoted to the folk song and dance of the country of Georgia. At present it consists of a loose conglomeration of men's choruses scattered across the US and elsewhere that occasionally come together for concerts.
